Organic Food & Your Skin
It is all well and good using organic skin care products,
however if you don't eat organic
food, and you are consuming many different chemicals your
skin will suffer. What we put on put skin is very important but,
it is not all we need to do.
Eating a healthy organic diet where ever possible will do
our skin the world of good. Getting your five portions of fruit
and vegetables a day and drinking enough water will ensure great
skin. Flushing out all the chemicals etc with water is a vital
part of our health. Most people don't drink nearly enough water
and are suffering because of it. The minerals you get from organic
food such as fruit and vegetables is also vital for our skin.
Organic food is getting more and more popular and because
of this all the main supermarkets stock organic foods. I have
spoken to may people about why they don't use organic food, and
the majority of people answered: "because I cant afford
it". This is a valid point but I have a suggestion. If you
go round your local supermarket and take note of the prices of
organic and non-organic food, you will see which food is lots
more expensive and which is very similar.
Most people dismiss the idea of organic food straight away
without looking at prices. I know for certain that Tesco's organic
carrots agree not that much more expensive. Some food is cheaper
to produce than others. For example, organic meat is normally
very expensive. However, meat is one of the food groups that
does have lots of chemicals etc in, and everyone would benefit
from turning organic.
Just consider your health and the health of your family, how
much does this mean to you? I understand that organic food is
expensive but if you plan your meals better and use thrifty recipes
you should be able to use more organic food, at not much extra
cost. An example of a thrifty meal you can create is vegetable
soup. If you make it in big batches and freeze what's not eaten
that day, you can save money on meals in the future. I always
do this and their are many different recipes for vegetable soup,
so you don't get bored easily.
Getting your five fruit and vegetables a day can be quite
a challenge for some people, and many think of it as an impossible
task. This is not actually true. I used to be one of those people,
I never thought in my wildest dreams I could cram five lots of
fruit and vegetables in me every day! But I did and continue
to do to this day.
The way I get my five portions of fruit and vegetables a day
is by having some cropped up fruit with my cereal at breakfast,
a piece of fruit before lunch as a snack, salad with my lunch,
a glass of fruit juice and with my evening meal some cooked vegetables,
this can be anything with a decent size portion of vegetables
in it. If you just sit and think and look for recipes you can
include your fruit and vegetables quite easily.
Organic food and healthy diet is vital for your the quality
of your skin, so please don't just think that using organic skin
care will sort it, you have to put a little more effort into
it than that. Unless you were born with amazing skin and no matter
what you do to your body it remains amazing! I think that's not
many of us!
